Book Description

Once Upon a Prince, the first novel in the Royal Wedding series by bestselling author Rachel Hauck, treats you to a modern-day fairy tale.

Susanna Truitt never dreamed of a great romance or being treated like a princess—just to marry the man she has loved for twelve years. But life isn’t going according to plan. When her high-school-sweetheart-turned-Marine-officer breaks up instead of proposing, Susanna scrambles to rebuild her life.

The last thing Prince Nathaniel expects to find on his American holiday to St. Simon’s Island is the queen of his heart. A prince has duties, and his family’s tense political situation has chosen his bride for him. When Prince Nathaniel comes to Susanna’s aid under the fabled Lover’s Oak, he is blindsided by love.

Their lives are worlds apart. He’s a royal prince. She’s an ordinary girl. But everything changes when Susanna receives an invitation to Nathaniel’s coronation.

My Review

So this book took me a while to get to as I read a lot of books and this one was an Ebook which I don’t like as well as a real book. Anyways, I really liked this book and although I don’t think I will ever fall in love with a prince, I could really relate to this book!

Susanna Truitt thinks she is love with her boyfriend of 12 years until he tells her that he wants to break up which totally comes out of the blue to her. When I read this part I totally understood because I had just found out something about someone I really cared about for a really long time. I was devastated, but just like Susanna I realized I was grateful that it happened and that I didn’t get any more involved than I already was.

Truthfully, I am a hopeless romantic with no love life so I read romance because I love sappy romance. This book was definitely a typical romance with a few twists and turns. I loved reading it and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance with a prince!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars!
